Back from Mexico

Sighhh.... we are back. We love Mexico. Playa del Carmen was the best place. We had a condo where everyone met us at. We were one block away from the white sandy beach and one block away from 5th ave. Sooo much fun. It did rain on our wedding day, but not for very long and the ceremony was over. Everyone told us that it was good luck. :) Must have been as I did not trip and fall in my dress ( my number one fear :) ). After the wedding we spent one more day with our friends Mikal, Stuart, Ginger, Barbie and Ryan and drove to Coba - a ruin south of Playa. Then on Saturday we took off for our all inclusive resort Dreams Tulum. Although it is a very nice resort we came to the conclusion that we are not resort people and were on many adventures all week long. We parasailed, rode horsed, rode atv's, rode wave runners, swam in cenotes, snorkeled, drove a jeep around Cozumel, went to Xcarte ( or extreme carrot as Mark likes to say), cruised down a zipline, saw the ruins of Tulum and Chichen Itza, got a Mayan blessing from a Mayan Shaman, rode some bikes, had a romantic dinner on the beach and tried to smoke a cuban cigar. :) Over all it was amazing trip. 16 friends and family joined us from all around the world, Mikal traveled from Korea! We had great food, lots of good drinks, Mojitos, :) And some Tequilla. We had so much fun and are sad it had to end. Here are some pictures from some of our excursions. No wedding photos yet. Soon those will be showing up. :)
My flowers, orange gerbera daisies and purple calla lillies. They were soooo pretty.
We just got done swimming in the cenotes and cruising down 4 ziplines. :)

Stay tuned for more pictures :)

One month until we leave for Mexico

Today we are just one month away from getting on a plane to Cancun. I have been checking the weather temp there and it is in the 80's :) So far everything is comming together. The wedding is all planned, can you believe it!. I have my dress and we have a shirt for Mark he just needs the bottom half ;). We are going to be shopping this weekend for some clothes to take with us down there. We have a list going of all we need to do and what we need to bring. Holy smokes, sometimes it seems there is not enough time. But no worries it will all be ok. This is another engagement picture of us.

Our Younger Selves

I found this picture tucked away in my desk...torn, tape stuck to it, and scribbled on the back (in Mikal's famous chicken scratch) reads, "Remember this? It's #505 the place to be!" This picture must have been when the three of us just moved in from our old place at The Birdhouses (apartments near campus) to our home on South 20th. I cropped out the old TV and cinder block entertainment center! Oh yeah, good times!

2 Months (59 Days) Until the Big Event

Yesterday it was officially 2 months, today 59 days. Mark and I will be leaving March 2, along with my parents, from Seattle on a direct flight to Cancun. My birthday is the next day so I will get to celebrate down there. :) Mark and I will be down in Mexico for a little more than 2 weeks soaking up the sun. A nice change from all the weird weather we have been experiencing in Seattle this winter.

More Maps for Mexico

This is a place I found that will send you a really cool map. They have reviews of restaurants and hotels. They sell the map to you on the honor system. If you like it you send them some money, if you don't you just send the map back.
