This is a place I found that will send you a really cool map. They have reviews of restaurants and hotels. They sell the map to you on the honor system. If you like it you send them some money, if you don't you just send the map back.

Playa Deal Card

This is something I found while browsing Playa del Carmen sites on the web. It is an entertainment card that can be used at various locations in Playa. Of course you have to purchase it, but I think up to 3 people can use the card. Here is the link to the site and a link to the FAQ. The page has places that you can use the card at.
